Marilyn Manson on the upcoming Californication… Woot?

Hank - Californication promo

So I’ve recently started watching Californication from the beginning (I got up to season 4 previously, but never got back on the bandwagon after the hiatus… also, this is why I’ve been absent fro so long) and despite being thoroughly disgusted with myself and every character on that show, I find that I still can’t help but watch. It’s like staring into the male psyche and seeing how they really wish they could live. I think the only saving grace to the show is that the main character is never truly happy, so I feel like he’s getting his come-uppins. While I don’t think it’s one of the best shows on TV, i do find it entertaining and plays on my lingering crush of Mulder from the X-Files.

The only reason I’m bringing the show up is because as I was watching the preview for next week I noticed one of my teenage heroes, Marilyn Manson, will be guest starring (season 6, episode 5). Now I do have to state that I have had no love for him past my 20th birthday, but it is nice to see a childhood hero pop up now and again in my adult life just to kinda see how they’ve been keeping themselves. It’s like seeing people from highschool who used to be popular and are fat, divorced or crazy now… so I’m a little excited. Considering I was fans of both X-Files and Manson at the same time, next week’s episode should be like a weird flashback to a weirder time for me. WOOT!

More Community news… and of course it’s bad

So after everything going on with this show now we get this news?! Why can’t they all just get along and finish the show without making people riot?

This could go either way, really, but usually when something like this happens to a show already submerged in problems I don’t see good things on the horizon. I really hope this doesn’t just all totally kill the 4th season we’ve all been waiting for. By “this” I absolutely mean all of the terrible raging crap pile that is building up on top of this show.

Community Season 4 Spoilers Community and Chevy Chase are officially parting ways.

TVLine has confirmed that Chase and producers have come to a mutual agreement that finds the comedy vet departing the cult NBC series effective immediately. The sudden ouster means that he will not appear in one or two of Community‘s final Season 4 episodes, which have yet to be shot.

Our sister site Deadline first reported the news.

Because Community is shooting the end of its upcoming season out of sequence and production on the finale has already wrapped, Chase’s unlovable curmudgeon Pierce will likely appear in the season ender but not in the handful of installments leading up to it.

Chase’s exit is unsurprising given his tumultuous relationship with the still-benched sitcom. In early October, the actor found himself at the center of an on-set…

Season 4 of Community: annnny time now…

I saw this a while ago, and don’t know how I totally forgot to post it.

Troy & Abed give us the rundown on what is going on with season 4…

Let’s face it, NBC didn’t even want to air the second half of the THIRD season let alone let this show have even a glimmer of a fourth so I’ll be happy if they could just release it all and be done with it. I love this show (and if you’re a regular reader you already knew that) and I just want there to be more of it. Even if it is just a few more episodes. So quit postponing it and RUN THE DAMNED SEASON ALREADY! Jeeze, how many people gotta get all mental about it before you do.

The thing that pisses me off the most about the fact that they seem so against it is that almost everyone I’ve talked to that has seen the show LOVES it. Everyone else seems at the very least interested. Why does mainstream TV try to kill everything we love? Why NBC? Why?
